CHILDREN ARE AN HERITAGE OF THE LORD. Posted 081219 @ 2.22 pm
I have a word for the Body. The Father is saying: CHILDREN ARE A HERITAGE OF THE LORD. It is written in Psalms 127.3: Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. Except I build the house, they labor in vain that build it. Except I keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
Train up your child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it. And ye, fathers, provoke not your children to wrath, nor provoke them to anger lest they be discouraged: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of your LORD. Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child, but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. The rod and reproof give wisdom; but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame. Withhold not correction from the child; for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul. Teach your children to obey and to honor their parents in all things; for this is well pleasing unto Me.
A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children; and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up. Suffer little children to come unto Me and forbid them not; for of such is My kingdom. One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity. For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of My church? Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover, he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. Despise not My chastening, nor faint when thou art rebuked of me; for whom I love, I chasten, and scourge every son whom I receive. If ye endure chastenging, I deal with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, then ye are bastards, and not sons. You had fathers of your flesh which corrected you, and ye gave them reverence; shall ye not much rather be in subjection unto Me, the Father of spirits, and live? For they for a few days chastend you after their own pleasure; but I for your profit, that ye might be partakers of My holiness. No chastening for the present seemeth joyous, but grievous; but afterward it yieldeth the peacable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; and make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see Me. Look diligently lest any man fail of My grace; lest any root of bitterness spring up and trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected; for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, not unto blackness and darkness and tempest, and the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them anymore; for they could not endure that which was commanded; but ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto My city, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to Me, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect; and to Jesus, the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall ye not escape, if ye turn away from Him that speaketh from heaven; whose voice then shook the earth. Therefore, receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, have grace whereby ye may serve Me acceptably with reverence and godly fear; for I am a consuming fire. CHILDREN ARE A HERITAGE TO THE LORD. Amen.
ALL IS WELL AND WELL IS ALL.
