FOLLOW ME LIKE MY SERVANT PHILIP. Posted 070220 @ 12.22 pm

Beloved,

I have a word for the Body. The Father is saying: FOLLOW ME, LIKE MY SERVANT PHILIP. It is written in John 1.43: The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him: Follow Me. Philip was of Bethsaida, the same city of Andrew and Peter. Philip sought out Nathanael, and told him: We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets did write: Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph, and he told Nathanael to come and see. Nathanael was the man whom Jesus saw while under a fig tree, before Philip even went and called him, to tell him to come and see Jesus. Philip was with Jesus when He fed the five thousand with the lads five barley loaves and two fish. Philip was the one whom the Greeks had asked to meet Jesus, and it was Philip and Andrew who led them to Jesus. Philip was the man who asked Jesus to show them the Father, and to whom Jesus replied: He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father. Philip was there when Jesus ascended unto the Father, and he was also one of the many in the upper room, with Peter, James, John, Andrew, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon Zelotes, and Judas, the brother of James. Philip was one of the many who continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

Philip was one of the seven chosen men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, who was appointed to serve the people, so that the twelve disciples could give themselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the Word. Philip was a witness to the stoning of Stephen, who was also appointed to by the disciples to serve the brethren. Philip is the man who went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. The people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did in Jesus’ name. Philip was the one who preached the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, and baptized both men and women in Samaria. Philip was the one who baptized Simon the sorcerer, when he believed in the name of Jesus because of the miracles and signs which were done. Philip was the one to whom the angel of the Lord spake unto and sent him directly toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which was desert. The Spirit spoke unto Philip and told him to go near unto the chariot in which the Ethiopian eunuch was sitting in and told Philip to join himself to this chariot. Philip heard the Ethiopian eunuch reading the Prophet Esaias, and preached Jesus unto him. Philip was the one who baptized the Ethiopian eunuch after he believed Philip’s preaching that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. After Philip baptized the eunuch, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, and he was found at Azotus; and began preaching in all the cities he passed through, til he came to Caesarea. Philip had the privilege to minister to Paul’s company when they came unto Caesarea. Philip was used mightily by the Lord, because he simply heard the truth, believed in His heart the gospel of Christ, and obeyed Jesus’ command to follow Him.

Beloved, the Father is seeking men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, just like Philip, to go and preach the gospel to every creature, and to baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Philip was more than just a great evangelist, but he was an obedient and holy man of God, who willingly laid down his life to serve our Lord Jesus Christ. Are you willing to lay down your life and pick up your cross and go and follow Jesus, no turning back, though none go with you? If so, you are being called upon now to arise, be filled with the Holy Ghost, and preach the gospel to every nation, until the whole earth hears. Imagine all the miracles Philip was blessed to behold. Imagine the great honor of knowing Jesus personally and being chosen by Jesus and appointed by His disciples to serve along side of them. Imagine being given such a great privilege of preaching the gospel, healing the sick, casting out demons and unclean spirits, and spending your life serving Jesus. Imaging having angels appear by your side and order your steps. Imagine encountering the angel of the Lord, and hearing the voice of the Spirit of God, giving you marching orders, step by step. Oh, what a blessed man was Philip. I don’t know about you, but I want God to use me just like He used Philip. I have already asked the Lord to send me, but have you asked Him to send you? Have you surrendered your life fully and completely to a life of service to our wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Are you ready? I pray you are willing and obedient, and are prepared to be used for such a time as this, as this great evangelist Philip was used. Are you ready to witness and perform those greater works? Beloved, it is time to prepare yourself. If you haven’t surrendered your life, do it now. If you haven’t consecrated yourself for the Master’s use, do it now. There is no time to waste. I look forward to seeing you on the battlefield. It’s about to get glorious! FOLLOW ME, LIKE MY SERVANT PHILIP. Amen.

Blessings,
