Note receied from THE INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIANS AND JEWS on 020819 regarding the passing of our Beloved Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein:

A letter from The Fellowship's Chairman of the Board, Stockwell Day:

To all dear friends and supporters in Israel and around the world,

We were overwhelmed and shocked at the news of the sudden passing of our founder, our Rabbi, our leader, our dear Yechiel Eckstein.

Nobody could have foreseen that, as Yechiel began his daily physical exercise regime, that his heart would cease beating and that God would say, “Faithful Servant, it is time for you to rest eternally.”

Our own hearts at this time go immediately to his dearest wife Joelle and to his entire family. Please send your thoughts and your prayers towards them as they deal with the sadness of this sudden loss.

Historians now and in the future will acknowledge that few people in modern history have done so much to bring Christians and Jews together in the noblest of causes to support Israel and the Jewish people. Yechiel’s life is simply without parallel in this pursuit.

In the next few days, on these pages and in reports around the world, people will be in awe when they see the amount of resources and the amount of life-giving goodwill which Rabbi was able to bring to Israel and her people.

Recognizing that this is a time to mourn and to pause with gratitude to celebrate the life of this remarkable man, we will not distract your thoughts towards details for the future. There will be time for that in the days ahead. Suffice to say that the board and senior management of The Fellowship has been responsibly working with Yechiel and his daughter Yael for some time in terms of putting in place a succession plan in anticipation of Rabbi’s soon coming retirement.

It goes without saying that those plans will now be accelerated. In the days ahead, Yael will assume the mantle of Yechiel’s great leadership and lead us forward in a manner that has the blessing, the foresight, and the complete confidence of her abba (father).

Yechiel prepared her well for this moment, and she had already taken on the yoke of leadership in a manner which was thrilling to Yechiel, and inspirational to us at The Fellowship and to the untold thousands of lives she has already touched.

We will need your support in the days ahead in so many ways. All of us, as Rabbi’s spiritual heritage, will need to rise to the challenge together and continue his eternal dream to see Christians and Jews come together with ever-increasing understanding and compassion in supporting Israel and her people. Let us do that in such a way that will stir his now-resting heart for all eternity.

Shalom Baruch dayan emet,

Hon. Stockwell Day
Chair, The Fellowship

PLEASE JOIN US IN PRAYING WITHOUT CEASING FOR YAEL, THE ECKSTEIN FAMILY, THE FELLOWSHIP MINISTRY AND HIS CHOSEN ONES EVERYWHERE. WE MOURN WITH OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS FOR THEIR GREAT LOSS, WHICH IS THE WORLD'S LOSS. WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE FELLOWSHIP WITH OUR PRAYERS AND OFFERINGS AS LONG AS WE ARE ALIVE.

021018- PRAYER ALERT!  PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM!

UPDATE FROM CUFI:

Early this morning Iranian military forces stationed in Syria invaded Israeli air space with an unmanned drone.  This drone invasion was a massive breach of Israel’s sovereignty and a hostile act of aggression by Iran.

In response, Israel sent eight fighter jets into Syria to engage in a counterattack against the drone's command post. The Israeli jets came under anti-aircraft fire from Syrian forces while they flew over Syria.  Israel succeeded in destroying their target, but in the process one of Israel’s fighter jets was hit by Syrian fire and the two pilots ejected and escaped. Nevertheless, they were both injured and are currently in the hospital. One of the pilots is severely injured.

Israel’s response to this attack was an immediate counterattack of overwhelming force. In the strongest attack in 30 years, Israel destroyed 4 Syrian command posts and 8 Iranian command posts in Syria. All of Israel’s fighter jets returned home from this mission safely.

This morning’s conflagration was a blatant attempt by Iran to assert its dominance in the region and threaten Israel.

We need your help to spread the truth about this attack on Israel by Iran. The international media is not showing the video of the Iranian drone that invaded Israel’s airspace. Instead, they are trying to frame the story as though Israel were the aggressor and instigator of the conflict.

We pray for the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to continue His protection upon Israel and her people.

May God Bless You and Those That You Love,

Pastor John Hagee                                         David Brog

UPDATE FROM RABBI YECHIEL ECKSTEIN:

All of Israel is on high alert as threats and attacks from Syria and Iran continue to escalate. With your help, The Fellowship team is already on the ground caring for innocent civilians suffering from anxiety due to rocket sirens blasting over northern Israel.

Because of your unwavering support, The Fellowship has supplied thousands of bomb shelters in the region, emergency facilities and equipment in five northern hospitals, and supplies of blankets, food, and other basic necessities should innocent Jews be displaced by these attacks from hate-filled regimes.

That is why I urge you to join with me in praying for God’s continual protection over Israel and her people. Pray for peace in the region and for the safety of our team as they respond with immediate care and provision for those impacted by this senseless violence.

With prayers for shalom, peace,

Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein

Founder and President

PS – We continue to prepare should, God forbid, the unrest and attacks continue to rise. Thank you for your prayers and support of Israel and the Jewish people.

UPDATE FROM RON CANTOR:

While I was sleeping in this morning, after an exhausting day of travel yesterday, from Nepal to Israel, Iran sent a drone into Israeli airspace. Israeli officials called this a “severe and irregular violation of Israeli sovereignty.”

The drone was in Israel for just over a minute before an Israeli attack helicopter took it out just south of the Sea of Galilee. The drone was sent from an Iranian base in Syria’s Palmyra region. Israel responded with force.

Watch: Israeli Helicopter shoots down Iranian Drone

The Times of Israel reported that Israel targeted 12 sites and according to a military statement, it included, “three aerial defense batteries and four Iranian targets that are part of Iran’s military establishment in Syria.”

Syria’s air defense systems have been severally damaged and I am not sure that the IAF (Israeli Air Force) is finished. Many of the Russian-made sophisticated anti-aircraft batteries were destroyed.

The IAF faced substantial anti-aircraft fire from Syria. For the first time in 36 years, it appears that possibly, one of our F-16 jets was shot down. The two pilots ejected over northern Israel and survived, although one is in serious but stable condition.

Israeli forces targeted and destroyed the drone base from where it came. The Syrians cried foul, saying the base was only used to target ISIS. And yet, somehow, the drone crashed in Beit Shean, Israel, quite a distance from Syria.

Prayer Points:

Pray for our political and military leaders to use wisdom in how we respond.
Pray for supernatural protection over Israel.
Pray for the peace-desiring people in Syrian, that they would have a democracy free from Iran.
Pray for a move of God amongst the Muslims of Iran and Syria.
Pray for a move of God in Israel.
Pray for the full recovery of the pilot.

PRAY FOR PEACE FOR JERUSALEM.

PRAY FOR THE SAFETY AND PROTECTION OF THE IDF,  ISRAEL'S LEADERS, THEIR NATION, THEIR BORDERS, EVERY MAN, WOMAN AND CHILD.

PRAY FOR SALVATION FOR THE JEW FIRST, AND THEN THE GENTILES.
